At Friends! Learning Centre (FLC), your privacy is our priority. We are committed to the protection of your privacy at all times and in all situations. We collect your personal information upon your joining as a member because we want to ensure that we have a comprehensive knowledge of your needs. As such, we will be able to provide a more personalized service on our site. We have installed and applied our encrypted pages to prevent stolen information. However, we do not guarantee complete security on stored information.

When you become an FLC member, you will need to fill in a form that requires your name, address, e-mail address as well as some demographic information such as gender and date of birth. FLC will NOT divulge any data to trusted partners for the purpose of statistical analysis. Your name and address information are used solely for the purpose of gaining more knowledge of the needs of our general users and they will not be disclosed unless we have obtained your prior consent. Your demographic information (gender, date of birth, etc.) will be used for several security purposes, to verify your identity.

If you choose to use our referral service to tell a friend about our site, we will ask you for your friend's name and email address. We will automatically send your friend a one-time email inviting him or her to visit the site. FLC does not store this information and uses it for the sole purpose of sending this one-time email.

All FLC employees take your personal information very seriously. All employees must learn and obey our security policies. Access to members’ personal information is limited to key management personnel and our member services department.

After becoming an FLC registered user, you may correct/update your personal information by clicking on the 'My Detail' link at the bottom left of any page. The changes you make will be reflected in our databases instantly.

From time to time, email alerts will be sent out to update you on our new services or promotional offers. Email messages will also be sent to remind you to provide your valuable feedback. In addition, we will get in touch with you 1) if you contact us for a particular reason, 2) regarding arrangements for a tutor/to be a tutor, or 3) we need to contact you for administrative purposes. (For example, in situations where you have won a contest) Administrative e-mails will not contain promotional materials. If you opt to receive our Newsletters, they will contain promotional materials from the affiliations of FLC.

Although we seek to preserve user privacy in all possible circumstances, the need to disclose personal information may arise especially when it is required by the law. Such obligations may occur when we have a belief made in good faith that such actions are necessary to comply with a current judicial proceeding, a court order or legal process based on the terms and conditions shown on our Web site.
